Als Content & Communications Specialist bij Flatpay ben je verantwoordelijk voor het vertalen, lokaliseren en finetunen van product- en marketingcontent voor Nederland. Jij zorgt ervoor dat onze boodschap niet alleen taalkundig klopt, maar ook cultureel raakt - altijd in lijn met onze merkidentiteit.
Deze rol is ideaal voor iemand met een scherp oog voor detail, een sterke taalgevoel en het talent om nauwkeurige vertalingen te combineren met creatieve, lokale content die echt aanspreekt.
Wat je gaat doen
  • Vertalen en lokaliseren van marketingcontent zoals website- en advertentieteksten, e-mails, salesmateriaal en productcommunicatie.
  • Zorgen voor een consistente, herkenbare tone of voice op alle Nederlandse kanalen.
  • Teksten aanscherpen en finetunen in samenwerking met collega’s uit marketing, product en sales.
  • Internationale campagnes aanpassen voor de Nederlandse markt.
  • Content verbeteren op basis van lokale inzichten, feedback van klanten en marktontwikkelingen.
  • Actief meedenken en communiceren met de Nederlandse community via Meta Ads, Trustpilot en Google.
  • Inzichten uit gesprekken met merchants en collega’s terugkoppelen om product en communicatie te verbeteren.
Wie jij bent
  • Je beheerst Nederlands op native niveau en schrijft net zo makkelijk als je praat.
  • Je hebt ervaring met vertalen, lokalisatie of contentmarketing - bij voorkeur binnen fintech, SaaS of e-commerce.
  • Je snapt commerciële communicatie en weet complexe dingen simpel en aantrekkelijk te maken.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, maar verliest de grote lijn nooit uit het oog.
  • Ervaring met vertaaltools of CMS-systemen is mooi meegenomen, maar geen must.

About the job
As a Content & Communications Specialist at Flatpay, you will be responsible for adapting and translating product and marketing materials for the Dutch market. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our messaging is both linguistically and culturally relevant while maintaining brand consistency. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and language-savvy professional who can balance precise translation with creative localization to craft engaging marketing communication.
What you'll do
Key responsibilities: 
  • Translate and localize marketing materials, including website and ad content,emails, sales brochures, and product communications.
  • Ensure a consistent and professional tone-of-voice across all Dutch marketing channels.
  • Proofread and refine translations, collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and cultural alignment.
  • Adapt global campaigns and content for the Dutch market in collaboration with the product and marketing teams.
  • Optimize product communication based on local customer insights and market analysis.
  • Engage with the Dutch community across Meta Ads, Trustpilot, and Google platforms, ensuring a positive and consistent representation of Flatpay’s brand.
  • Contribute to Dutch product development by sharing insights gathered from close collaboration with merchants and internal teams.
Who you are
Your competencies and background: 
  • Native-level proficiency in Dutch and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in translation, localization, or content marketing, preferably in fintech, SaaS, ore-commerce.
  • Strong understanding of commercial communication with the ability to simplify complex messages.
  • Familiarity with translation tools and CMS platforms is a plus.
