Payment Specialist – E-commerce

Our payment team manages the core infrastructure powering close to 1 million transactions daily — and with rapid growth in the e-commerce space, we’re expanding our capabilities.

We’re looking for a Payment Specialist with at least 1 year of experience to join our team in Herlev, focusing specifically on our e-commerce payment platform. You’ll act as a key 3rd line support resource, working closely with Product Managers, Tech Operations, and Developers to ensure stable, efficient, and scalable online payment flows for our merchants.

This role is perfect for someone who understands the nuances of online payments and wants to work at the intersection of product, technology, and operations in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What you'll do
  • Act as 3rd line support for e-commerce payment issues, including transaction errors, payment gateway issues, and integration troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate daily with PMs, Devs, and Tech Ops to define, plan, and resolve tasks tied to platform reliability and merchant experience.
  • Investigate transaction flows, logs, and API responses to identify root causes and improve system robustness.
  • Escalate to acquirers, PSPs, or other external partners when necessary.
  • Document recurring issues, fixes, and improvements clearly to support transparency and efficiency.
  • Support new payment method rollouts and ensure successful implementation across the e-commerce platform.
Who you are
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 1 year of experience in a payment-related, fintech, or technical support role.
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce payment flows, online acquiring, and gateway integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze logs and debug issues independently.
  • Proactive mindset and strong communication skills to work across teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with ICC++ pricing, settlement, or transaction reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with SQL, API integrations, or monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of PCI DSS and secure handling of online payments.
