Product Designer

We’re now seeking a Product Designer that will be involved in every step of our product development process; from early ideation with product managers to close collaboration with engineers and specialists to ensure products are designed and shipped at the highest quality.
What you'll do
You’ll support a diverse set of products, including point of sale software on desktop and mobile devices, business management in our merchant administration portal, data visualization and reporting, emails, invoices, receipts, and internal support tools. 

In our Product Design team, merchants are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage everyone on the team to regularly go on merchant visits, ensuring that we’re building products that deliver an affordable, efficient, and personal payments experience. That's also why we're an international team with key product people in all the markets we operate. 

In your first 30 days:
  • Get to know Flatpay, the company & the people
  • Immerse yourself in the merchant experience and payments industry
  • Get hands on with the existing product experience
  • Create your first customer-centric designs by using data, market analysis, and merchant feedback
  • Work with a top-notch Engineering team to implement solutions based on your design
In your first 60 days you can expect to:
  • Participate in planning and ideation sessions for new features with PMs and Engineering
  • Perform user interviews for generative and evaluative research
  • Use and contribute to our design system
  • Track the success of your projects and advocate for refinements and improvements
Who you are
  • 2-4 years of experience producing high-quality UI designs for web and mobile
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your skills in product design, including using Figma and Figma components, familiarity with user-centered product design and research practices, and a proven record for creating impact
  • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • A self-starter, eager learner, conscientious teammate, and a thoughtful, kind, supportive human
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Experience in the fintech/payment industry is a plus
